I couldn't stay behind in this Lightning tip box trend: Also, by popular demand, the Scooter Wisdom Store is back and expanded: Node: 03cc974ac680265dcb004b5d402233793a02b3446c44b3f468d72af43726ecc1ec@18.195.105.234:9735

🤯 paypercall, powered by 's Lightning Charge (along with other recently announced LApps), allows a developer to request payment for every API request. One way that the next facebook can monetize itself without selling user data.

If you're already managing a c-lightning node via RPC and want to have a sweet looking GUI for making payments on the road, this is for you! Meant to eventually be extended to provide a more comprehensive solution for non-technical users also, but that'll take some more time.

It's currently aiming to provide the necessary basics for a mobile lightning wallet - sending, receiving & history - with the rest (peer management, channel creation, etc) managed separately directly via the RPC.

Some more details: its a self-hosted wallet running on top of c-lightning, meant to be run at home (or, less ideally, on the cloud) and connected to from mobile (currently via the browser but eventually as Cordova app). Written in a reactive-functional style with rxjs and cycle.

From what I know, there are a few ideas proposed so far for the 2-way peg: yet no one really seems the ultimate, clean solution. I try to list them here (kinda) chronologically:

So, a few reasons I don't like Zcash. 1) If you see a great FOSS project, w/ network effects & traction, before you decide to just fork it into your own pet project, I think logic & morality impose you to study the existing one, understand it, try to contribute to it AMAP.

I think it’s because their promoters lead people to believe (marketing) that their tech needs a coin and that coin will be scarce so that their coin will have value if there is demand for the tech. The tech itself is not scarce, only networks effects are scarce.

Easy money through ICOs isint the answer... incentives for developpers should be based on utility not speculative bubbles. Market will fund tech they really need. We can subsidize what we build for ourselves for those who can’t afford. Open-source corporate ethhics culture > ICOs
