This is related to Amnesia Implantata: Inability to realize that one’s students planted an idea in one’s head (which one now regards as one’s own), so that lab resources are redirected according to the students’ wishes.

If you’re writing about data-sharing and your article is behind a paywall with no preprint on biorxiv, it’s perhaps time to revisit your definitions of both “data” and “sharing” 🧐

My main takeaway from Janet's talk: downloading your data and ending your account is like breaking up & trying to get away from someone who: knows all your friends, is really popular, really wants to get back together, follows you, & won't stop talking about you behind your back

Well the fun is over. Trump poo image has been wiped. I feel like I need to use the term "unusual aspects" in my research from now on. :)

Great to see this document. It could in fact go further towards open access. If the public are funding the sequencing, why should publication of analyses wait on publication by those who generate the data? Any undue delays need to be prevented

Just done some sums. £4,200,000,000 would pay for 146,000 band 5 nurses for a year. Or, it would pay for 138,000 police officers for a year. Or we could have 146,000 newly qualified teachers. Oh, the things we could spend £4.2 billion on. Instead we're spending it on brexit.
