    Hopefully this is a signal for changing directions in industry. It's a common argument on data side (Equibase) that piracy is rampant.

    Someone from CHRB asked Tony Allevato why NYRA is giving its content "away for free" on apps. Allevato said upside much larger than piracy.

    This is director of R&D for MLB. In racing there's no reason to learn to code b/c all the data is locked up. Break into racing by touting.

    I get about an email a week asking how to break into the sports industry.. I can't stress enough to them learn to code. Opens so many doors.

    Tickets are $425/head, and they make the winners pay, so what do the sponsors do exactly?
