    If we are going to stop chemical and biological weapons - including nerve agents - becoming a new and horrific 21st cent norm states like Russia that use or condone their use need to know there is a price to pay. Thank you USA for standing firm with us on this

    Today marks the centenary of the Battle of Amiens, which was a decisive victory for the allied powers during the First World War. At an event at Amiens Cathedral later the Armed Forces will lead the whole country in remembering the sacrifices made 100 years ago.

    Commemorating the 10th anniversary of Russia’s military aggression against Georgia. Not a one-off as my Ukrainian colleague has pointed out. This is part of a pattern of behaviour whereby Russia violates others’ sovereignty.
