    In Israel, the existence of agunot--women unable to leave their marriages--points not just to a religious problem but a civil failing as well. CWJ addresses both by utilizing available halakhic solutions while challenging the state's monopoly:

    Women are half the population. We shouldn't have to decide if gender is important or not. We should be able to choose the parties who believe in what we stand for because they are fairly represented in all parties, not have to vote for them just because they have women leaders.
