    18 year low in pupils learning modern foreign languages in our schools & 2017 there were no GCSE entries at all in German in three LEA areas. So sad to hear a pupil who did get chance to do German GCSE say how much she enjoyed it & how cool Germany is.

    This happened today: Jewish & Arab activist outside the Likud headquarters, protesting against Netanyahu's New friendship with the Kahanist extremists. He's trying to bring the to parliament. We won't let him.

    This should give all of us who live in Barnet pause for thought

    Today I have left the Labour Party. It was not an easy decision, but has been a long time coming. I realised fear of abuse was holding me back, especially being pregnant, but Luciana's bravery has been inspirational. I will continue to serve as an independent Councillor.

    I have just seen this. Seems any Jew - like me - who supports Corbyn can now be branded a “self-hating Jew” on TV and that’s supposed to be somehow OK. What is happening in this country? I feel physically sick. All solidarity with

    So why are they trying it again?

    The UK government was forced on appeal to return citizenship to two British nationals of Bangladeshi heritage stripped of it on national security grounds so Shamima Begum has good reason to appeal, but the process can take years.

    I grew up in Hatton’s Liverpool. He made the words “Labour” and “unelectable” interchangeable on a national level. The fact that today’s Labour has a place for him and not for says it all.
