    Tell my friends when looking at a school... if they only talk about results or begin with “we are the highest performing school in the area”..... run for the hills.

    “If the principal is fixated on academic results, they (parents) shoud think about looking elsewhere” So true. There is much more to school than academic results.

    The worst 9 words in a school...”This is the way we have always done it.” followed closely by “everyone else does it this way”... sometimes the status quo needs to be challenged and discussed

    Had my favourite lesson today ...modelling the properties of plasma membranes... it never fails to engage the students....video is of a student modelling of self repair of a plasma membrane

    On Mon I sent my welcome email to my Yr 12 Bio class. I tell them about me, my family & what I got up to on the holidays & then I have them email me about their holidays. I’ve done this for a number years & every year I love the responses I get back.

    Just finished .... thanks to and crew for editing this must read book for every educator regardless of experience, level of leadership and sector... we are all in this together and therefore must act as agents of change together
