Photos All your photos. Always with you and picture perfect.
With iPhone, people are taking more photos and videos than ever. And as photo collections grow, so does the desire to easily find, edit, and share them whenever and wherever. That’s where the Photos app and iCloud Photo Library come in.
The moment you’re looking for, always at hand.
Moments, Collections, and Years views automatically organize your photos and videos by when and where they were taken, so you can scan your entire library at a glance and quickly find what you’re looking for. You can even ask Siri to help you find a photo. For example, say “Show me photos from my trip to San Francisco last summer” and Siri will pull them up on your screen.
Moments
The Moments view groups photos and videos that were taken around the same time and place, like an afternoon hike.
Collections

Years
View your entire library in a beautiful mosaic of all the photos and videos you’ve taken each year. Touch and hold a thumbnail to bring up a preview. Or give any thumbnail a quick tap to open the collection it's in.
Albums
Take a look at the Albums and Smart Albums you’ve created, as well as the preset ones, which automatically group your photos into Favorites, Videos, Panoramas, and more.
Search
Search is prepopulated with smart suggestions based on photos and videos you’ve looked at recently or view most often. And suggestions pop up even as you start typing in the Search field, so you can quickly find what you’re looking for.

Introducing Live Photos.
A still photo captures an instant frozen in time. With Live Photos, you can turn those instants into unforgettable living memories. At the heart of a Live Photo is a beautiful 12‑megapixel photo. But together with that photo are the moments just before and after it was taken, captured with movement and sound.
You can bring those moments to life any time by simply pressing anywhere on the photo. You can even set your favorite Live Photo as your Lock Screen wallpaper, so you can relive a moment any time your phone leaves your pocket. And you can view Live Photos on your other Apple devices, too.
Capture the moment. Then edit it in seconds.
Whatever your skill level, you’ll be able to create photo masterpieces right in the Photos app. You don’t have to wait to get back to your Mac to do it. Photos can make beautiful edits for you. Or you can take control and fine-tune every aspect of a photo yourself.
Smart composition tools.
Don’t worry if the composition isn’t perfect when you shoot. Even after you take your photo, Photos can automatically straighten horizons and provide the ideal crop.

iCloud Photo Library. All your photos, on all your devices.
Every photo and video you take now lives in iCloud — giving you the freedom to access your library from any device, anytime you want. So you can view a photo from last week or last year no matter where you are. And iCloud Photo Library keeps every photo and video you take all in one place, and you can access them from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, on iCloud.com, and even your PC.
When you take a photo or video on your iOS device, it automatically shows up on your Mac and iCloud.com. And any changes you make — like editing a photo, marking a Favorite, or adding to an album — are kept up to date across your devices and on iCloud.com.
Fill your library, not your device.
iCloud Photo Library can help you make the most of the space on your iOS device. When it’s turned on in your iOS device settings, all your full-resolution photos and videos are stored in iCloud in their original formats, with storage-saving versions kept on your iOS device as space is needed — so you can access more photos and videos than ever before. You get 5GB of free storage in iCloud — and as your library grows, you have the option to choose a plan for up to 1TB.
Share your favorite photos in more places than ever.
It’s never been easier to share your photos and videos with who you want and where you want. Use the share sheet to share photos via iCloud Photo Sharing or AirDrop. Or post photos with a tap to your favorite photo sharing sites, like Facebook and Twitter.
To get started, all it takes is a snapshot and some friends.
Sometimes you only want to share your photos with the people who will truly appreciate them. iCloud Photo Sharing lets you do just that. Create a shared album and you control who sees what. Posting photos and videos is as simple as tapping iCloud Photo Sharing on your share sheet. Just choose the photos you want to share and invite up to 100 of your friends and family to see them. They can comment and even add their own shots.
Want to show off your vacation photos and videos? Gather your friends and family around your HDTV, and with AirPlay, you can wirelessly stream whatever’s on your iOS device to the big screen. Just like that, you have an audience.
Share with someone nearby.
Great for sending larger files, AirDrop is a convenient way to share photos and videos with people around you — even if they’re not in your contacts. Just tap AirDrop, choose your file, tap the person’s device name, and you’re done.
Share here, there, and everywhere.
Post your photos and videos with a tap to sites like Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr. You can also customize the share sheet and post photos directly to other sites that offer sharing extensions.
