BBC iPlayer Radio app (and widget) – Stops playing in the background
We’ve found that if you have Battery Saver mode enabled on your Android device, playback will stop when either:
- Your phone is locked or
- When you launch another mobile app
There’s nothing worse than being interrupted when listening to your favourite programme or track, so consider turning off Battery Saver mode if this is becoming a problem.
How to turn off Battery Saver mode
The instructions to complete this can vary dependent on what device you have but generally can be turned off via Settings -> Battery/ Power management mode -> Off
