EgyptAir hostess Samar Ezz Eldin (inset), 27, posted a picture of a stewardess with a plane crashing into the sea behind her on her Facebook page just four months after she started working at Egypt's national carrier. Miss Eldin, who studied modern languages at the Ain Shams University in Cairo, was among the first victims to be named as investigators admitted the cause of the disaster was still a mystery.

The Michigan Uber driver accused of killing six people in a brutal shooting spree was dragged out of the courtroom by deputies on Friday morning. Jason Dalton raised his voice and interrupted the testimony of one of the two people who survived the horrific rampage, causing the woman to break down in tears on the stand. Dalton also shouted about people with 'black bags' before Judge Christopher Haenicke was forced to call a recess as Dalton was removed from the room.

Julie Tauber McMahon, who has denied being involved with Clinton, is seen in Chappaqua, NY, for the first time since it emerged his foundation had helped get funding for a firm she part owns. McMahon, 56, describes herself as a family friend of the Clintons. She has been named as the 'Energizer', an alleged mistress whose Secret Service nickname was disclosed by a leading investigative journalist and author - a claim she denies. She had not been seen since the revelation about her company's links to his foundation. This week Donald Trump used the word 'rape' to describe allegations against the ex-president, and Hillary declined a chance to defend her husband's 'honor'.

Home Depot has banned worker Krystal Lake (left, at Home Depot, and inset left) from wearing a hat emblazoned with the words 'America was never great' after legions of Donald Trump supporters complained. Miss Lake, 22, wore a white cap carrying the slogan to work at a Home Depot store in Staten Island, New York, this week. A picture of her wearing the hat went viral and split Twitter and Facebook, with some calling her unpatriotic (right) but others defending her right to free speech. Miss Lake says she has received a barrage of racist abuse and death threats, but insists she will not stop wearing the cap. However, her bosses might have something to say about that. Home Depot branded the cap 'inappropriate' and said she would not be allowed to wear it at work in future.

The 34-year-old, who gave birth to her third child Theodore James on March 27, looked a bit tired as she carried her two-year-old son Joseph on the New York City streets on Thursday (left), but despite her undoubtedly hectic schedule, the mother-of-three took a moment to share a seemingly innocent throwback photo of her children that has since sparked some controversy. Before her evening walk, Ivanka posted a photo of Joseph and his four-year-old sister Arabella happily posing with a baby monkey and a white tiger (right)-and many angered commenters pointed out that wild animals that shouldn't be treated as pets. Arabella and Joseph may have gotten their love of wildlife from their parents, who went on an African safari during their honeymoon in 2009 (inset).

Sean Penn's new movie The Last Face was savaged after its premiere at Cannes on Friday, where viewers booed and guffawed. His latest directorial effort, after his 2007 film Into the Wild, stars Charlize Theron as an international aid worker in Liberia who falls in love with a doctor, played by Javier Bardem. Many have taken to social media hailing The Last Face as the lowest point of Penn's career, with some suggesting Theron broke up with the 55-year-old after she saw an early edit of the film. Penn has already responded to the overwhelming criticism, saying: 'I stand by the film as it is, and everyone is going to be entitled to their response.'

A major beef between two female employees at a McDonalds in Chester, South Carolina, that started over apple pies ended in a fist fight on Wednesday day, police said. According to Chester County investigators, one of the women, 30, asked a 25-year-old worker to start frying a new batch of pies and an argument ensued. The older woman told to the other to leave and that she would cover the rest of her shift, but the younger woman refused to leave. The younger woman then apparently hit the staffer that asked her to make the apple pies, with the fight caputed on video.

The harrowing late-night confrontation occurred in the Minnesota city of Brooklyn Park in November, with the video of what happened emerging this week after the attacker was convicted. Officer Sean Hyman responded to a noise complaint that involved a parked car playing loud music, but upon arrival realized there was a felony warrant for the arrest of the man inside the car, 25-year-old Lance Carr (inset). As the cop moved to arrest Carr, he turned on him in a violent and terrifying way (main), with the cop coming close to death in the struggle.

Richard Rasmussen, 36, has been called Brazil's version of Bear Grylls and was out in his native country filming a segment explaining tidal bores waves. Rasmussen can be seen talking to the camera about the phenomenon, and as he turns around to show how amazing a tidal bore can be, it dawns on him that it is about to come down on him. He is forced to flee the mass of water, running away with the wave hot at his heels.

The University of Houston shelled out $166,000 last year so that the Class of 2015 could feel 'alright, alright, alright' as they were sent out into the real world with an inspiring speech from Matthew McConaughey (top left). The University of Oklahoma was also willing to cough up the cash to get Katie Couric to speak at their 2006 ceremony (top middle), spending $110,000 on the former Today anchor. Two other public universities got a much better deal this year however when President Obama (bottom left) and Sheryl Sandberg (bottom middle) spoke at Rutgers and the University of California, Berkley respectively for no fee. Ryan Seacrest (bottom right) spoke for free at the University of Georgia this year while last year the school paid $22,000 to charter a jet for speaker Amy Robach (top right).

At first glance this picture doesn't seem to show much but take a closer look and you'll see one of nature's masters of disguise at work. With its feathers blending seamlessly into the bark of a tree this Eastern Screech Owl is almost impossible to spot. But sharp-eyed photographer Larry Lynch was lucky enough to capture the owl as it disguised itself in a tree close to his home in Florida.

Major gun sellers like Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops as well as individual carpenters like NJ Concealment Furniture owner Dan Ingram have created a wide array of furniture that can discretely and safely hide a firearm while making sure the weapon is always within reach of its owner. His collection now includes  shelves, coat racks, desks and hutches, but the idea started with a simple nightstand that had a side compartment for a pistol. Before Ingram built concealment furniture he was a cabinet maker - but with the success of his new business, he ended his cabinetry business and is now focusing solely on furniture that hides guns. He said as gun sales go up, so do the sales of his furniture and says he always steals the 'gun show'.

Meghan Franz, from Pittsburg, was diagnosed with breast cancer in October and underwent chemo and a double mastectomy. She has been documenting her hospital visits, hair loss, and radiation appointments on social media to help others who are suffering. Last week, she bravely bared her mastectomy scars in a topless photo on Instagram. She no longer has nipples, but has begun the process of reconstruction, so there is some roundness to her breasts. While most commenters were supportive, some trolls left cruel comments calling her 'gross' and a 'freak b****'. She fired back in an incredibly upbeat retort, reminding them to be nice and offering encouraging words to other people battling illness. She signed off with: 'I'm fabulous and beautiful... and I'm ready to spread my sparkle to all those that will listen!'

A Las Vegas performer with dwarfism known as 'mini Kim Kardashian' died from chronic alcohol abuse, a coroner revealed. Kim Tripp (left, left of right), 32, who impersonated the reality TV star in a cabaret show in Nevada was found dead by her boyfriend 'mini Kanye West' (right) outside her home in late March. Police said there was no evidence of foul play. Kim Kardashian West paid her condolences to 'mini Kim' in a moving tweet after Tripp's death, writing: 'My thoughts and prayers go out to Kim Tripp's friends and family! Rest in peace beautiful soul.' Sandy Rougely claims her 12-year-old daughter (left and right) came back from a school trip with a rope burn (injuries circled, left) around her neck and that she was the victim of racially-motivated attack. The girl was on a class trip with Live Oak Classical School (inset), in Waco, Texas, when a rope swing got caught around her neck. The student thinks three white boys tied the rope around her neck on purpose. Ms Rougely is now suing the school for $2.7million. She said the first thing she knew about her daughter being hurt was when she returned from the camp-out with the ligature mark around her neck, that made it look like someone 'ripped her neck apart and stitched it back together'. The school claimed it was an accident and said the family's attorneys were exploiting the girl's race to win the lawsuit.

Carl Brewer's Toyota 4Runner SUV (wreckage pictured) has been totaled after bungling Jiffy Lube technicians forgot to refasten its lug nuts following a brake change, causing all four wheels to fly off. After the brakes were replaced, a technician offered to take the vehicle for a test drive. The engineer returned - without his car - and told his boss: 'Everything fell off.' The red-faced technician then revealed to Mr Brewer that all four wheels had fallen off the SUV and it later emerged that none of the lug nuts had been attached properly after the brake change. With no wheels on the car, the engineer had careered into two road signs, denting the car and smashing its windscreen (top right). The Jiffy Lube franchisee - who was on his first day in the job - agreed to pay for a week's car rental for Mr Brewer and will replace his daughter's car seat, which was damaged in the smash. The business owner also offered to pay Mr Brewer the value of his SUV, but he has decided to pursue compensation through his insurer and California's attorney general.

Thomas Raymond Gorman (insert), 54 of Lakeland, Florida, was arrested for allegedly kidnapping a woman and leading police on a high-speed car chase in Warren County, Ohio, on Sunday. During a traffic stop the 51-year-old woman signaled to police that she needed help, which caused Gorman to drive off, dragging an officer a short way. Gorman eventually lost control of his vehicle and was arrested. He is in custody being held on a collective $2,839,306 bond between all the charges, according to Warren County Police.

The officer stopped the blonde woman in a red sports car in Puebla, Mexico. The person who filmed the passionate embrace claimed they began kissing (left and centre) after the woman asked the officer how she could 'fix things' to which he replied: 'However you want'. The video ends with the woman walking back to her car (right) although local reports claimed the pair arranged to meet up afterwards in a nearby convenience store.
