Hello Everyone,
I am into learning HTML and CSS for last 1 week only. So my apologies if this question sounds too naive.
The question is, I have created 1 HTML file and 1 CSS file and now trying to use IDs in the CSS to control some features in the HTML file. But for some reasons, it is not working.
I have attached the screen prints of both my CSS and HTML files and as well as the resulted web page.
Can someone please guide me on why the IDs on the CSS are not working..

It would be best if you pasted your code here (in between [code][/code] tags); I can’t read sh*t in your image.
As far as I can tell you need to keep specificity in mind. It’s likely that the styles in your internal stylesheet (the CSS inside your HTML document) are overriding the declarations in your external stylesheet. Best is to have all styles in an external stylesheet.
