For developers, finding the right API can be tricky. Twilio is hoping to change that with Add-ons, a marketplace where developers and companies can access technologies in-use via the Twilioâs API.
With pay-as-you-go pricing, Add-ons let developers quickly access the APIs of Twilioâs partners without having to create an account with that company. All of the authentication, framework and billing is handled by Twilio.
So. Much. Tech.
Some of the biggest names in tech are coming to TNW Conference in Amsterdam this May.
Installable from the Twilio console, Add-ons are available for Programmable SMS, Programmable Voice and Twilio Lookup. At launch, partners include IBM Watson, NextCaller, WhitePages Pro, Mobile Commons and Payfone.
Every day, builders use Twilio in combination with other developer technologies to better reach their customers,â said Jeff Lawson, CEO of Twilio. âOur community of developers can now access these partnersâ features without the heavy lifting of maintaining different integrations.â
Perhaps best of all, it only requires one API installation. All integrations come courtesy of the Twilio API; all a developer has to do is manage which integrations theyâd like to use.
Add-ons are available starting today from the partners listed above.
