Hello! Welcome to our book club. If you're reading this, consider yourself a part of the club! This is a community open to all genders.
Each month, we will have a few books that will be our more official reads and we encourage participants to focus their discussions around these books. But do not feel constrained by the official listings! All topics relating to books, short stories, poetry, etc are welcome. We also welcome reviews of anything you've read.
As a TwoX book club, we will discuss, among other things, women and gender with each book. We focus on books by female authors or with female characters, but not to the exclusion of other books or experiences. We ask that users follow our etiquette guidelines, modified from /r/TwoXChromosomes :
- Respect: No hatred, bigotry, assholery, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, racism or otherwise disrespectful commentary. Please follow reddiquette.
- Equanimity: No drama-inducing crossposting of content found in other subreddits, or vice versa. Likewise, posts found to direct odious influxes here may be removed.
- Grace: No tactless posts generalizing gender. We are a welcoming community. Rights of all genders are supported here.
- Images: While original content or art relating to literature is welcome, we are a discussion-based subreddit. Focus on giving your own narrative in response to books.
