WordCamp is coming to Riga for the very first time. It’s going to be amazing, and you can help to make it even more special, by being involved and be represented at this event.

We are planning a highly diverse, and accessible WordCamp – one where there is something for everyone, no matter their interest or skill level in WordPress. We want everyone to feel welcome, learn, share and celebrate WordPress together.

WordCamp Riga is a community run event, created by the community, for the community, and funded by the community. The entire event wouldn’t be possible without the support of businesses in our community who benefit from WordPress.

Call for Speakers

Do you have something you would like to talk or share with the WordPress community? You should apply to speak.

We don’t search for speakers who are famous, experts or programmers. You don’t need any prior speaking experience. All we ask is that you present something you’re passionate about.

There are only few things to keep in mind:

  • All WordCamp Riga sessions will be held in English.
  • Approximate speaking time will be 30 minutes.
  • Talks will be held on 1st of October,
  • Also all talks will be recorded and later the videos will be posted on WordPress.tv.
  • Talks should be respectful of the WordPress community, the WordCamp code of conduct, and the GPL

Also if you’re unsure of your topic, we’ll be happy to talk about it with you. Just fill the form or contact us.

In addition if you know there is some blogger whose story you would like to hear, or you have a friend who would be a good speakers for WordCamp Riga, please share this link with them or contact us to share your speaker ideas.

We’re happy to announce that WordCamp Riga is officially on the calendar!

WordCamp Riga will be held from 1st to 2nd October, 2016 at Academic Center for Natural Sciences of the University of Latvia, Jelgavas street 1.
