Holdings information

This screen displays full information about the item itself (bibliographic information) and where it can be found in the library (holdings information). If the item is on the open shelves, you will need to make a note of the full classmark and location details in order to find it.

If there is more than one record associated with the title you selected, you can view the remaining records by clicking the or icons.

Clicking on the Make A Request link from the right-hand menu allows you to:

  • request the item to be fetched for you if it is kept in the closed stacks, or
  • recall the item if it is on loan to another reader.

If you would like to keep a note of this item, choose one of the other actions from the right-hand menu. You can:

  • export the record as an EndNote citation
  • e-mail the item details to yourself or a colleague
  • link to or bookmark the record
  • print the record
  • see the Google Books entry for the item (which might also let you search inside).

Staff view shows how the record looks to a cataloguer, in MARC (MAchine-Readable Cataloguing) format.
