I note that the Google Apps for Nonprofits program has lifted its restrictions on religious nonprofits, particularly churches, participating. Will YouTube lift its similar restriction as well?
Religious groups do a lot of good for communities, including caring for the poor, running schools, and so on. Which is why the government extends 501c3 status to them.
Sorry to post this here, but I am hoping that a human at Google will see it. I have had no success through any of the support channels, and I am getting desperate..
I work for a UK based non-profit organisation. Whilst updating the new look channel settings I added the channel donation module. Upon testing I found that this didn't work (caused redirect to an error page stating the currencies didn't match) because our merchant account is in GBP and the module only works for US dollars. I removed the donation mechanism from our channel - www.youtube.com/bornfreefoundation - and it no longer shows on the channel page. However, donate buttons appeared on all of our videos and I can see no way of removing them (I would have thought removing the module would achieve that). Please can the donate buttons be removed from our videos? It looks very bad for my organisation to have an error page appear when people try to donate. In the long run I hope there will be a fix so that we can receive donations in GBPounds - but in the meantime this bug is damaging our reputation.
PS - Youtube for Non-profits has been very successful for us - over 10,000,000 views! Just a bit upsetting that there is now a fault on all our videos.
When will it be available in France ?
ReplyDeletewhen can taiwan user use?
ReplyDeleteThis is good news. Glad to see people other than gamers are being given this vital tool. Please expand Livestreaming to all Partners in good standing.
ReplyDeleteOf course I have it, but I think others should as well. Every time I go live I get a huge boost in subscribers
