    The recently-formed City Club of the Mahoning Valley is inviting people to their launch event on Wednesday, September 21 at 5:30 p.m.  The event will include dinner and feature a panel discussion on the economic state of the Mahoning Valley.

    The Youngstown State University's Board of Trustees is WYSU-FM's supervisory board. The Board's general meetings and Institutional Engagement Committee Meetings address WYSU business. These meetings are open to the public.

    The WYSU Advisory Board meetings are also open to the public.

    To be blunt, I couldn't care less about most of the hotels I've stayed in over the years as a foreign correspondent. Many of them were just a place to take a shower, sleep and then forget about. But La Villa Creole in Haiti was different. I first stayed there in 2008 and quickly found it to be an oasis.
