I am curious to know what budgets you have made for yourself when planning a longer trip.
I am planning to go to India for 6 months, but now it might be that I will be away for a year. Potentially, if I don't feel like spending my entire 12 months in India I am very interested in going to South America and travel to a few different countries there.
I am wondering just in general what budgets you have made for yourselves when planning to be away for roughly 6 - 12 months. I realise there are differences in living costs, etc. in the countries I mentioned here, but I am interested in all kinds of differents budgets to get a rough idea of what is managable.
First off, I think both of these subscriptions are great and allow for some super cheap round trip itineraries.
That said I am also looking for the absolute cheapest deals on some one-way tickets out of California, are there any other services that are constantly on the lookout and have an email list but for one-way tickets specifically/also?
Sometimes I jump on Skyscanner and punch in the "Anywhere" button and just kinda daydream...
Happy Hunting!
I’ll be staying in Genoa Italy for 8 weeks this summer, and I’m looking into cheap housing options. One thing I’m considering is a hostel. If I directly contact the hostel am I likely to get a cheaper deal than what I can find on Hostelworld? Or would it be cheaper to look into air bnbs? What have other others done for cheap housing in another country for short periods of time like this?
My girlfriend and I are planning a spring break trip to Seattle and we’re trying to find cheap flights. I don’t travel much at all so I have no idea where to start. Any other cheap travel tips would be appreciated.
Hey guys, I’m planning to backpack to serbia during next summer and i was wondering, which cities should i visit other than Belgrade and novi sad, and what should i do in those cities ? Thanks a lot !
I know, not really in the spirit of shoestring, but a friend of mine really wants to go on a trip but isn’t quite too sure where. I joked about just blowing all the money on a long first class trip because he loves air travel and plains in general. He didn’t oppose to it and it got us thinking just how cheap you can find a long first class trip if you didn’t care where you’re going. The only restrictions would be it should be at least a 24h trip one way, but no less than 20h. Could be any times within the next 3 months. Doesn’t need to be round trip, a one way is fine. Any DC airport as well.
Best thing we’ve found so far is a $3638 one way ticket to Tokyo, but the international leg of the trip is economy so I wouldn’t count that. Anyone have ideas of cheap cities to fly to for this?
