You could say Alex Lippi is a ladies' man but it is not true. Of course he has already wooed and charmed armies of women, young and less young, French and foreign. But Alex does it only on active service. Indeed he is appointed to break up undesired couplings. This time he must prevent a rich young lady from marrying an English millionaire. The girl is beautiful and the future husband a perfect match. Will he manage to accomplish this difficult mission? Written by

Quotes
Alex:
In a couple there are three categories of women. The happy ones, the unhappy ones who cope... and the unhappy ones who do not admit it... That last category is my stock in trade... We exist to help them... Our job: Breaking up their couples... Our goal: to open their eyes... Our method: seduction... We break their couples, never their hearts... My name is Alex Lippi and today, I broke my own heart.

Crazy Credits
A few seconds after the start of the end credits, there are three scenes that involve some of the characters: in the first one, the nymphomaniac friend of the female protagonist seduces the former fiancée of the latter; in the second scene, the father of the female protagonist chats with his friends; in the last scene, one of the characters tries to seduce a woman by imitating the main character's manners, but fails. I'm not into French cinema because I don't usually understand the jokes
in them, but I went to see Heartbreaker last night for a special
preview. I was completely surprised because it charmed me in the first
five minutes and from then on it was an almost non-stop laughing,
chuckling, cackling audience around me. I loved the storyline and the
characters. Alex Lippi is a guy hired to seduce women and break up
couples. When he is hired to sort out Juliette (Vanessa Paradis) 10
days before her wedding, he pulls out all the tricks from the hat but
she doesn't fall for anything. Interestingly, the thing that it was in
French made this movie work much better than a Hollywood version. I
thoroughly enjoyed it because it was funny, witty, fresh, minus the
clichés and cheap jokes.
