The Kennedy Center presents the final U.S. performances of one of Hip Hop's most influential artists, yasiin bey (formerly known as Mos Def), Dec. 31-Jan. 2 in the Concert Hall. Joined by special guests, bey will offer a unique musical experience for audiences at every show, performing songs from a different album each night including The New Danger, True Magic, The Ecstatic, and Black on Both Sides, alongside new material. Following the performance on Dec. 31, patrons can join the New Year's Eve Grand Foyer Party, free with their ticket.

Did you know you can watch the Expansion Project’s day-to-day progress on the Expansion Cam? All of the 500+ piles (steel support beams) have been driven into the bedrock and 2,150 trucks of dirt have been removed from the expansion site. Also, the first of two tower cranes was erected on the site in early July. Once completed, the new spaces will provide innovative and accessible experiences for both the artist and audience, including open rehearsal viewing and unique, interactive programming.
