This third edition of Theoretical and numerical combustion by Poinsot and Veynante presents basic techniques and recent progress in numerical combustion while establishing important connections with the underlying combustion basics, enabling engineers and research specialists with the knowledge of fluid mechanics to move to an integrated understanding of numerical combustion. This new edition combines a book and a dedicated website containing multiple additional resources associated to the book: videos of the basic courses (if you prefer listening rather than reading), on-line tools (to compute adiabatic flame temperatures, perform signal processing, predict unstable modes in simple combustors, etc), corrected exercices, illustrations (movies, tutorials).
The book itself has been completely revised, multiple new sections added to include recent results and link the book contents to the associated web site.
