Roadmap
We want you to know what’s up behind the Vimeo API curtain, because transparency rules! Here’s our best guess for what features we’ll add and when:

Webhooks Expose our internal notification system through the API. Allow users to register URLs to notify whenever events happen on Vimeo — including uploads, likes, videos added to a Group, and more.
Improve error responses Improve the response information provided with error messages. Include separate information for the user and the developer, and include direct FAQ links when applicable.
Authentication improvements Support client side authentication workflows (Implict grant), along with short lived tokens.
Version 3.4 Standardization and cleanup of some old endpoints. Batch actions. Easier streaming uploads. More group functionality.
Advanced Stats Expose all advanced stats features, including plays, loads, referrers, geo data and On Demand.
Response documentation Full documentation on every response format. An alpha is available, so contact us for more information!

Unlisted Privacy Make your videos visible only to people who have the link by setting the privacy to "unlisted".

Pull Uploads Upload a video by sending us a URL. We'll take care of the rest.

API Playground Build an interactive web-based tool that allows developers to use the API and experience how it works with minimal barrier to entry.

Vimeo On Demand Beta Add support for Vimeo On Demand through the API by adding unique endpoints for requesting information about VOD pages and creating new ones

API Open Beta: The new API merges the Advanced and Simple APIs into one easy system. It will be the foundation for exposing advanced stats, easier upload workflows, and Vimeo On Demand.
