This outdoor photography exhibition features artists from around the world and their visual narratives of home, streets, people, creatures, nature, and play from all around the globe.

Tots program for children 2 to 5 years old. 9 am to 4:30 pm.

The exhibit feature ancient, rarely seen fossils, and life-like models, including a 23-foot-long feathered tyrannosaur (Yutyrannus huali) and a small four-winged dromeosaur (Anchiornis huxleyi) with a 22-inch wingspan and vivid, patterned plumage. Visitors will encounter a tiny dinosaur whose sleeping posture precisely echoes that of a living bird, an extinct-dinosaur nest containing remains of the adult that guarded the hatchlings, and the fossil cast of a relative of Triceratops that had simple feathers on its body. 10 am to 4 pm.

The cast of the largest dinosaur that ever walked the earth is now on exhibit. The 122-foot long dino is residing on the fourth floor. This giant herbivor belongs to a group known as titanosaurs, and weighed about 70 tons. 11 am to 5 pm.

Atlas Steakhouse

The shop, built to mimic a boxing ring, will offer products from Opening Ceremony’s new CLUB USA capsule collection. The collection draws inspiration from 1980s and 1990s sportswear, featuring block logos, composition book prints, and summer colors. 11 am–10 pm.

This exhibit connects work from 25 contemporary artists with historical African masquerade. 11 am–6 pm.

Garden beds are filled with plants featured in the favorite recipes of the chefs from Mario Batali’s restaurants. Kids can explore the gardens to solve Mario’s Menu Mystery. 1:30 pm to 6 pm.

Get to know Brooklyn Bridge Park and visit the giant aquarium filled with East River critters, the reading corner and so much more. Open hours 3 pm to 5 pm.

An exhibition of oil and pastels paintings by Peter Eagleton, an accomplished painter whose striking work features the working tugs, ships, lighters, yard oilers, and tankers that plied the waters of New York harbor. 4–8 pm.

Glide along the waters - children under 18 must have a guardian or parent present. No experience necessary. 5:30 pm to 6:30pm.

Free admission to the museum’s many exhibits and galleries every Thursday evening, sponsored by Squarespace. 6– 10 pm.

Sycamore opens its garden to diverse, fun, and always fresh pop-up vendors. 6–10:30 pm.

Artist Christian Frederick presents work primarily in black and white. A portion of proceeds will go to diabetes research 6–8 pm.

Celebrate the birthday of Mama Says Comics Rock! Author Faith Erin Hicks ("Demonology 101," “Zombies Calling,” “The Nameless City”) along with others will be there to chat, so come by and grab a bite! Part of the Brooklyn Book Festival. 7 pm.

Seven short readings from seven authors writing from center, edge and the aftermath of endless wars. Event followed by book signings and drinks with the authors. Part of the Brooklyn Book Festival. 7 pm.

An intergenerational poetry slam and open mic, featuring Brooklyn-based poets who response to city culture, national issues, and the exhibitions on-view at BRIC House. Hosted by Mahogany L Browne & DJ Jive Poetic. 7 pm.

A panel of arts professionals who use film, theater, literature, and television to empower and heal families and children of currently and formerly incarcerated people. 7 pm.

Weaving together multiple versions of the Greek myth of Phaedra, Polish director Krzysztof Warlikowski offers a radical reconstruction of this tragic tale about a doomed queen grappling with an incestuous desire for her stepson. 7 pm.

Join Teddy Wayne, the award winning author of "The Love Song of Jonny Valentine," as he reads from his new novel, “Loner,” a novel about collegiate privilege, class and gender politics. 7 pm.

To kick off the nine-day Brooklyn Emerging Artists in Theater Festival, the Brooklyn Museum transforms into a hub of innovative and exciting live theater, dance, and other creative endeavors. 7 pm.

This unflinching debut novel, "The Story of a Brief Marriage," gives readers an intimate view of the brutal civil war that tore Sri Lanka apart for nearly three decades. 7–9 pm.

Original fairy tales presented with shadow puppets and music. 7:15 pm.

Part of "B-Side," a live in- studio music series, featuring performances and interviews from Brooklyn’s hottest emerging and established musicians of all genres. 7:30 pm.

Brooklyn By the Book presents Patti Smith for the paperback release of "M Train," which describes the odyssey of this legendary artist through cafes and haunts around the world. Part of the Brooklyn Book Festival. 7:30 pm.
