Kuali Coeus Maintenance
Kuali Coeus will periodically undergo routine maintenance. This routine maintenance will take less than 1 hour, and will occur during non business hours (sometime between 10pm and 6am, EST). If there are any outages during normal business hours or that will take more than 1 hour, advance notification will be posted on this website and MIT’s IS&T Services down website (http://3down.mit.edu/3down), and an email will be sent to the Community via [email protected].

Changes To NSF Field Codes
November 10, 2016NSF has released several changes to its science code descriptions, applicable to MIT’s FY16 expenditures (and going forward). Kuali Coeus (KC) maintains this code on proposals and awards as the “NSF Science Code” field, which is ultimately incorporated into NSF’s annual Higher Education Research & Development Survey.

Important Information Regarding Automated Compliance Checking of NSF Proposals
June 27, 2016NSF continues to focus on the automated compliance checks of proposals in order to decrease the burden on both the research community and NSF staff. Effective July 25, 2016, all proposals will be subject to a new series of automated compliance validation checks to ensure proposals comply with requirements outlined in Chapter II.C.2. of the Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG).

Reminder – Timely and Accurate Service Center Billing
November 6, 2015A closeout working group comprised of DLC Financial Administrators has identified several impediments to timely closeout and recommends that customer billings should be completed monthly, (or as services are rendered for those services centers where use is more sporadic.) Please ensure that bills reflect published/approved rates and are correct in all instances.
