WordPress Origin Story

I’ve started using WordPress and quickly found it could be used as a tool for mostly anything.
Then I realized that most of my difficulties to understand how it works came from bad user interfaces of plugins and themes.
To overcome this design flaw, I started translating small plugins and themes I’ve used, and quickly found myself debugging i18n issues that wouldn’t be solved by just l10n.

I started contributing to the core translation, and now I help the Portuguese WordPress Community by preserving core and meta translation quality and consistency as a base model of terminology and glossary for further translations of 3rd party themes and plugins.

I found myself with a very powerful tool in hands and pretty much enjoy contributing to its i18n and l10n.
It’s my way of making the world a better place, at least 25% of it, and very proud about it.
