Oh I think it is for the best. But the consequence is to create a type of barrier to entry which helps consolidate the position of large incumbents.Not least because no one is going to build an effective competitor WITHOUT data collection and tracking. Compliance favors the large

Sure - though talking to publishers who have to comply (rightly), they argue that the terms were effectively set by Google and are difficult for smaller companies. This might be exaggerated but it seems credible
