Brainchild of The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group Executive Director Keshav Suri, voted Best Nightclub at the Times Food and Nightlife Awards two years in a row and now entering the Top 100 Clubs Worldwide DJ Mag list for the first time for an Indian venue, Kitty Su has been constantly striving to bring the latest music to Delhi's nightlife. Kitty Su Chandigarh, based on a similar concept is starting to make waves in bringing world renowned artists to the City Beautiful. Such is the dictum of these two premier venues in introducing a fresh musical culture and evolving away from the stale conventional. The increasing desire for the northern capital to taste the new and to be in sync with what is happening around the world is the very soul of Kitty Su and Kitty Su Chandigarh's efforts in reaching newer markets & audiences. As much as Kitty Su Delhi is a concentrate of classicism and references to Indian cultural past, Kitty Su Chandigarh is a reflection of the contemporary feel of the city and the forward thinking architecture of its host, The Lalit Chandigarh, merging slick aluminum high end sound equipment, state of the art integrated LED projections, metallic grey paneling and Pop Art installations. The Nightclub is separated into two spaces, the main room which will welcome the affluent Chandigarh clientele, and the VVIP Mezzanine, which, with a system of exclusive membership, will cater for the cream of the crop of the city. The club is furnished with bespoke pieces, alcoves and modular seating. Kitty Su Chandigarh will be able to welcome small to large group bookings, private functions, but also state of the art product launches as full AV equipment and tech savvy personnel will be available on site. With USPs ranging from Kitty Su's motto "Fashion, Champagne & Music", a stunning mid air suspended DJ console, a full VOID acoustics club rig, provision for full band live diffusion, delicate food selection from the two fine dining outlets of the Lalit Chandigarh hotel, OKO & Baluchi, bespoke merchandise by Shivan & Naresh, valet pick up and drops and butler service, and possibly the most secure nightlife environment in North India, the much awaited Kitty Su Chandigarh is ready to cater for your wildest party. Be ready to be amazed.

We recently attended the Baisakhi Food Festival that was organized by The Taj. Organized on the first floor, by the pool and under the stars, the festival offered an incredible menu with a dash of rustic fun in the form of sugarcane juice, chaat, golgappas and best of all, the 'Barf da gola" (Ice Candy). We were greeted and served by the ever smiling and ever caring team led by the incredible masterchef Chef Yogesh from Dera, who turned this evening into a journey through authentic Punjabi cuisine that was uniquely planned for this event. Spread over 10 days, every single day boasted of a completely different menu. Besides the chaat, sugarcane juice etc, we were served lip smacking Rajma Mint seekh kebabs and Paneer Tikkas. We're vegetarians so I can't say for the non-vegetarian fare really but I'm sure it was finger licking awesome as well. The main course began with the incredible Tamatar Tulsi ka Shorba. Now, those of you reading this as "Tomato Soup" couldn't be farther away from the truth. Yes it was tomato shorba (soup) but, it tasted completely opposite to the regular acidic fare that we know as tomato soup. My Mom, an excellent chef herself, prepares the exact same kind of tomato shorba. Made from fresh tomatoes and with a hint of tulsi, the Tamatar ka shorba was beyond awesome. Taj never fails to impress. Last time around, the Imli Sorbet was an incredible takeaway for me and this time, the shorba was killer! On to the food, the fare included two kinds of rice, a biryani and a corn rice with yellow dal and several other dishes that i was too busy eating, to remember the names. The salads included a samosa salad which was unique and awesome. The tawa arbi masala, cooked right infront of the guest was beyond awesome as well. It had shades of sweet, spicy and was delicately spiced, so as not to burn a hole in your palette. For those observing Navratri, there was a separate menu with several options as well. Last of all, desserts included many things like pinni ke laddoo, shahi tukra etc. All in all, a thoroughly unique Punjabi fare from the incredible Chef Yogesh. Great job guys! And thank you for your hospitality and invitation.
