The Honor 5C could be a great budget smartphone

China's low-priced Android phones aren't half bad

In America, the only phone you can get for $150 off contract would be a low-end Android device or a burner. In China, however, picking up a decent mid-range smartphone for less than $200 is becoming commonplace. The latest offering comes from Huawei's subsidiary Honor, which announced the 5.2-inch 5C last week.

Honor 5C

The Honor 5C features a 1080p display, 13MP camera (8MP on the front), an octa-core Kirin 650 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage. It even comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back, runs Android 6.0 with EMUI 4.1, and supports Category 6 LTE — all for $155 (or $140 for an LTE-free version). The 5C could be one of the best budget smartphone deals thanks to its ultra-low price, but Honor hasn't said whether it will make the 5C available internationally yet.
