Look for the ENERGY STAR
What is ENERGY STAR?
A product is awarded an Energy Star Label when it meets the energy-efficient criteria set by ENERY STAR – a voluntary program run by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. By choosing a product that saves energy, you can save money on energy bills, while helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and prevent climate change.
Where can I find it?
When shopping for an energy-efficient product, look for the ENERGY STAR Label. It should be clearly noted on the product or called out in the product’s features.
What does it take for a product to qualify for an ENERGY STAR?

Making Your Home Energy-Efficient
Little things can make a big difference.
Use LED Lights
By replacing one 60w incandescent bulb that burns 8 hours a day, you can save about $15 per year.
Unplug Your Chargers
Chargers and other power adapters use power even if they’re not being used. Phantom power adds up to 5% of our nations power bill.
Use a Power Strip
Phones. TVs, and other electronics cannot be switched off without being completely unplugged. Stand by power = more than $11billion in annual U.S. energy costs. Switch it off.
Let Your PC Sleep
Avoid using a screen saver when your computer is not active – let it switch to sleep mode. When machines are not in use, switch them off.
Our 2020 Vision
We realize there’ still a lot of work to be done and are tirelessly taking action to make sure we do our part. We’re committed to building a better future, and have set goals for year 2020 to make sure it happens.
