My husband and I got married last week and choose Purringtons as the place to celebrate with a tiny reception. I can't say enough about how kind the staff was. They went out of their way to make our day special! The cats were dressed in little bow ties and everything was so clean! I know the staff did quite a bit of work behind the scene for some special requests from a friend. We were so touched to learn all that went on that we didn't even know about. We ordered food and it was all yummy! We had a special wedding cake make by Little Reds Bakeshop delivered to the cafe in the morning. They had everything set up and ready to party. We happen to marry on David Bowie's birthday, the staff chose an all Bowie soundtrack for our party and it could not have been more perfect. Thank you for all you did!! Celebrating our wedding at Purringtons was the best ever!!

My order is always right and of course everyone wants something different in the two dozen I order. We love every flavor. This place is in my top 5 for coffee too. I am very picky and prefer the syrups to be less surgery and more organic. My sadness is I never get here in time to sit and try the chia sampler..... I am determined to get there beside 5 mins to closing. To some the hours can be restrictive but as a fellow family business owner having these hours are not only good for you and your family but also great for your employees. Taking care of all who work hard for you (including your family) means you care about their welfare over profit! Way to go Pip's ❤️❤️❤️.

This is a great venue for live music, and it's home to my favorite painting in the whole world, which watches over you from the corner like some kind of god

Spectacular brunch. Veggie bene was delish! Hash browns crispy on the outside as they should be. Also free donuts on the table with some drizzle of lemon and berry, so dang yummy. They squeezed us in without a reservation and service was good. The food today was the star! I've been for lunch during the week a couple times but was far more impressed with brunch today!

Had a wonderful time! Our room was beautiful and the entire staff was so nice. When our room keys didn't work, one of the front desk attendants walked me back up to my room to make sure the new one would, while also giving me tips on my weekend while I was in town. And the valet staff was so friendly and made it so easy. Can't wait to stay there again!

This hotel has one of the finest staffs I've ever experienced -- and I've been doing business travel between 6-12 times a year for 15 years. The super-friendly woman at the front desk -- having only spoken to me once -- caught me *hours* later to tell me that a package had just arrived for me. I hadn't even told her I was expecting them. The rooms are classy and clean, blah, blah, blah... but you're *really* going to remember how you got treated if you stay here. Five stars only because there weren't ten.

Wonderful Chinese Garden hidden in urban noise. Beautiful poet translation. Authentic traditional woodwork. The biggest disappointment was that they blocked out the playful rock paths and tunnels. It was supposed to one of the funnest part of a Chinese garden. I am pretty sure it wasn't the garden operator's intention but a legal caution. Still, what a litigious society we live in.

We could not have had a better time at a Children's museum! There was plenty to keep both my 8 year old and my 11 month old entertained for hours, and that is not an easy feat. Although there are many educational aspects of the museum, the focus on creativity and freedom to play is prevalent throughout. My 11 month old bonked himself while walking in the clay room and we had three different staff members offer their help, ice, etc. When it became apparent he needed to nurse to calm down we were told we could nurse anywhere (thank you!!) but the baby room may be the most quiet & comfortable. A staff member met us in there a few minutes later and gave me a bottle of water as she filled out an incident report and made sure little guy was okay and didn't need anything else. We will recommend this place to everyone! You can tell the focus is truly on kids here, what a refreshing blessing. It takes a village...

I have always loved going to museums, and when chance brought me within walking distance of the Portland Art Museum, and granted me a free afternoon I jumped at the chance to go. This is a remarkable museum with an astounding collection of Native American art, as well as a wonderful collection of modern art as well as photographs. This was my first time in Portland, and I'm glad that I made a visit to this museum part of that experience.

We were driving from Bend, OR when our 5 year old daughter got sick all over the car and her new easter dress. We stopped at the nearest store which happened to be Fred Meyer located in Sandy, OR. As I made my way to bathroom I stopped and asked an associate for an empty bag to put her dirty dress in. The associate jumped right in to help grabbing a bag and even came into the bathroom twice to check and see if we needed any help bringing an entire new roll of paper towels and even bought my daughter a tiny stuffed animal with her own money to help make her feel better. We finally made our way through the shoe section to complete her last minute outfit and went to check out and it was the same person who had helped us before and was just as kind as when I first walked in. Her name was Alesha (sorry for any misspelling). And I couldn't thank her enough for helping, as both my daughter and myself were a Lil embarrassed and stressed as we tried to wash up in a public restroom. Thank you ever so much for making our easter a Lil better.

Great place to spend some time. There is so much to see and experience! I recently attended a lecture by a best-selling author here and it was so interesting. Don't even get me started on their book selections! And the coffee shop is perfect. A true can't-miss when in Portland!

By far the best strip bar in town. The girls are all gorgeous and supremely talented. Like the movie "Cabaret" but with nudity. Bar staff is friendly, great music, low drink prices, great food, chill security (just don't be a dick) and comfy seating plus a nice private area. Plus Voodoo Doughnuts is right next door in case you want to bring treats home. Be sure and stay at least an hour to see the "feature shows" each hour.
