Leonardo City Tower Hotel is a building in Israel and the tallest hotel . It was the tallest building in Ramat Gan from its construction in 2000, until 2001, when it was surpassed by the Moshe Aviv Tower.HistoryThe Leonardo City Tower was constructed from a design which won first place in a competition. The construction rate of the tower was incredibly quick with one story every five days, without failure. The building was completed in 2000 and operated as a Sheraton until 2009, when it joined the Leonardo chain. The building also contains 200 apartments which boast the benefits of hotel service.ApartmentsThe 200 apartments in the tower can access the hotel service from below, in addition to their own entrance to the building through a mini-mall.HotelThe Leonardo City Tower hotel operates on fourteen of the forty-two floors of the tower. Under the instructions of Sheraton, there is no thirteenth floor in the building, so the hotel operates from floors four to eighteen. The hotel has 167 guest units, including a Smart Presidential Suite, 31 Smart Executive Suites, 69 Smart Rooms and 66 Deluxe Rooms. The Sheraton City Tower was the first 5-star hotel in Ramat Gan.In popular cultureAn Israeli soap opera called City Tower is supposedly set in the building. The show was shown on local TV.

Ramat Gan National Park is a large urban park in south Ramat Gan, Israel. It is not actually a national park.HistoryThe initiator of the idea of setting up the park was the first mayor of Ramat Gan Avraham Krinitzi who actively promoted the idea. Krinitzi advocated for setting it in the southern part of the city, on lands which were previously owned by the Arab village of Al-Khayriyya, and were incorporated to Ramat Gan after the ending of the Israeli Independence War.Planting began in February 1951 and the park opened to the public in 1953. In 1959, an artificial lake was created, which was enlarged throughout the years.The park will be incorporated in Ariel Sharon Park.The park covers an area of 1.9 km2. It is the second largest urban park in Israel, after the Yarkon Park. The park attracts 700-800 thousand visitors annually. The Ramat Gan Safari is adjacent to the park.
The Zoological Center Tel Aviv-Ramat Gan is the largest collection of wildlife in human care in the Middle East. The 250-acre site consists of both a drive-through African safari area and a modern outdoor zoo.It is the home of 83 species of mammals, 92 species of birds and 23 species of reptiles. More than 700,000 visitors annually from all social and ethnic groups of Israel as well as tourists from abroad. The animals are seen in open air enclosures amid subtropical gardens.The African animal park opened to the general public in 1974. In 1981, a zoo was established in the middle of the park to replace the former Tel Aviv Zoo, which had closed down.Among other outstanding groups of animals, Ramat Gan Safari has white rhinos, hippos, lions, African and Asian elephants, gorillas, orangutans, and a Komodo dragon.The Ramat Gan Safari has sent animals to the Qalqilya Zoo and maintains close ties with the veterinarians in the Palestinian Authority.
