Aravind Srinivasan

Hi, welcome to my home-page. I am a Professor, Computer Science, UMIACS, and AMSC, at the University of Maryland, College Park.

My main research-interests are:

Algorithms and combinatorial optimization;
Probabilistic methods, algorithmic statistics, and machine learning;
Network science, algorithms, and technology for public health (e.g., networked phenomena in infectious diseases, sensing incl. crowdsourced approaches, optimization, and climatic effects);
Algorithms in networking (wireless and peer-to-peer), social networks, and distributed computing;
Algorithms and modeling uncertainty in computational biology;
Computational approaches to sustainable growth (incl. energy, monitoring and sensing, electric-power and water networks).
