Recognizing courage in the name of slain AP photojournalist

The 2016 Anja Niedringhaus Courage in Photojournalism Award, named for the AP photographer who was killed reporting in Afghanistan in 2014, has been awarded to Adriane Ohanesian, a freelance photojournalist based in Nairobi, Kenya.

AP receives 5 awards from Deadline Club

AP received five awards on Tuesday evening from the Deadline Club, the New York City chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. More than 100 news organizations submitted a total of 623 entries for consideration by the judges in the annual journalistic competition.

US Supply Chain Tainted by Slave-Caught Fish

A year-long investigation by the Associated Press has found that seafood caught by slaves in Indonesia is sent to Thailand, where the fish can wind up in the supply chains of Wal-mart, Kroger, Albertsons, and Safeway.
