    Silly toy project that was fun to make: People that want to keep playing Beat the Street beyond Wednesday can, theoretically, sign up and play a basic virtual version that I've named at Need to add all the "Boxes", but some exist already.

    I have literally just worked out the purpose of auto-completing as emoji. It works as an inline emoji search. Actually very clever! 😃 👍 🤦‍♂️

    It’s also weird being a web developer who struggles with and doesn’t like JS. I’m definitely in old man territory here! I can only hope that my deep knowledge is somehow rare and valuable in the future as few will know the dark art of CSS!

    I also can’t help that whoever is complaining just isn’t willing to persevere with learning about some underlying technology. I probably thought CSS was rubbish until I learned the box-model and stuff. You won’t get far with an attitude like this.

    Every time I see people complain about CSS being broken, my response is "you probably don't fully understand the box model." The best resource and remedy comes from who has written the most comprehensive and in-depth explanation:

    Also, its very weird. Web development seems to have reached this tipping point where people can learn to make web pages without touching the underlying standard technologies of HTML and CSS. This is TOTALLY alien to me. How does this happen?

    macOS spotlight with the term 'pancakes' set. The first result is Sequel Pro because the icon looks like a stack of pancakes
    I can never remember what Sequel Pro is called, so I search for pancakes instead.

    Friend of mine is having a bit of a hard time. His other half is ill in hospital and his therapy is riding his bike. Last night it was stolen from the hospital whilst visiting. If anyone sees it or can help pls get in touch

    This looks awesome, but given the recent issues with malware in JS libraries, should we really be giving write permission to our GitHub accounts to someone we don't know? (And yes I've seen the outstanding issue with GitHub permission granularity).

    I made a quick (un-planned, un-edited) 12 min introduction to breakpoints and debugging JavaScript in Chrome, for some people, if that's useful to anyone. (Assumes knowledge of JS functions, scope and stuff)
