    Hi , Why do you think it's legit to: A. Assume the audience you're supposed to serve (i.e. fans) is purely male? B. Perpetuate the sexist idea that women watch football because of the players' looks instead of, say, the football? Best, 2018

    Why? My take: The general approach towards a local football club in Germany. FCs are in local institutions, involved in communities, 50+1 encourages fans to get involved, do their bit. Feeling of being part of something bigger rather than just the customer vibe of FCs elsewhere.

    People keep on talking talking about how the lack of competition for the league title will be the death of the Bundesliga as fans will lose interest. The attendance numbers do not suggest that, even after six straight titles for Bayern Most averages up/down by small margins.

    Just to clarify: The Moroccan fans that were seemingly trying to grab an Israeli flag tried to get a shirt that was thrown by the players, the Israeli fans in the video told media in Israel. Hence why I deleted the tweets.

    According to the Israeli soccer fan who is photographed with the flag, there was no attempt to grab the flag. The Moroccan soccer fan tried to get the shirt of a Moroccan player that was thrown into the audience. No harm or bad intentions.

    A DW reporter was sexually harassed while covering the . was kissed, groped by a man while reporting from Moscow. The incident can be seen here (00:13). Sexual harassment is not okay. It needs to stop. In football, and elsewhere.

    Should this law pass, it would mean that more than 30m (!) people in Germany would potentially be affected. 30 million people’s civil rights broken whenever the police wants, mostly w/o a court order. More re Bavaria's police law 👇

    A new law by Bavaria's is described “the toughest since 1945." Bavarian police will be able to spy on mobile phones, investigate individuals, confiscate mail without warrants, and more. Several fan groups - incl. Bayern Munich, Nürnberg, Fürth, - protested against it.
