First time poster but just watched the Vulture reunion and had a few thoughts on how to make the movie.

When asked if they would want to do a movie, everyone seems to be on board that was there. When asked the question they all had grins that they were trying to hide. Of course they are going to say yes since they are at a community reunion and play it up to the crowd.

What caught my attention was Dam Harmon. Community meant a lot to him as he stated but the idea of a movie seems like something he’s scared of doing. Maybe he’s afraid it will take away from the quality of the show and flop (see: entourage movie). As an Entourage fan and someone who wanted Doug to make a movie, I didn’t care that it wasn’t a box office hit. I just loved seeing the guys (and Sloan) back together. I didn’t like that it took away from the last season (which stunk) and was a celebrity cluster. But that’s another story for another sub.

NBC I’m sure is going to have a streaming service soon as it looks like everyone will. They have a lot of shows that would be awesome on there if they can get the rights back (office, parks and rec, 30 rock, community, good place, ect.). A community movie exclusively on the app would be a great way to get subscribers right off the bat. I’m not sure how Dan Harmons relationship is with NBC since they messed with the show so much and eventually it ended up on Yahoo. But money can fix a lot of relationships in Hollywood.

Donald Glover is a big piece to this movie. The cast wants him and the fans really want him. Donald doesn’t seem like a guy motivated by money. If you film this on his schedule and give him the Chevy Chase treatment and bend the knee to him I bet he will do it. He doesn’t need to be in every scene or the whole movie. I’d be happy with any amount of screen time he gets. The whole plot of the movie is could be trying to find him out at sea or him returning unexpectedly.

So to sum up my random points. I just want a movie like everyone else. I liked the last season of community and how it ended. This show means a lot to me and I’d love to be excited one more time for something new come out. Dan and Chris write a script, the cast gets back together, Donald makes a cameo or extended role around his schedule, maybe Chevy makes a brief hologram cameo, and everyone begs Joe and Anthony Russo to direct out of the kindness of their heart.
