Forumatic communities come with the hundreds of default features available in phpBB. This includes user registration with avatars and user ranks, creating formatted posts with file attachments, polls and smileys. A moderation queue, post reports, topic history, merging, splitting and locking topics, make moderating phpBB forums an enjoyable task. Fine-grained controls for permissions, user groups and forums allow administrators to customize and manage their forum efficiently.
Spam Protection
Forum spam is a common problem and one of the biggest time drains for forum moderators.
Forumatic aims to provide the best forum spam protection available. We constantly review our success rate and adapt the various anti-spam tools we use to prevent spammers from posting on your forum.
Custom Domain Names
All plans include a free customizable subdomain with a name of your choice, e.g. mydomain.forumatic.com.
For a more professional feel, paid plans include the ability to use your own dedicated domain (example.com), registered through a domain registrar like Namecheap, for no additional charge. See Custom Domain Setup Guide.
Styles
The look of your forum has a great impact on your visitors' impression of your forum. Forumatic offers various styles for you to choose from. We are constantly adding more styles to our selection. If you would like to see a particular phpBB style made available on Forumatic let us know through our Support Community. If you are looking for a custom style designed specifically for your forum you should contact us to inquire about pricing.
Languages
Forumatic is available in English, German, Spanish, French, Dutch and more languages. If your language is not yet available in the Administration Control Panel of your Forumatic community, just contact us or ask the Support Community and we will install the phpBB language pack for you. phpBB is available in over 40 languages.
Customization
You can customize the look of your forum's header right in the administration panel. Match the feel of your existing site or upload a stunning logo, all with just a few clicks.
To fully personalize your forum, include externally hosted JS and CSS in the administration panel. This option is only available when a custom domain is used.
Importing Data
If you have an existing phpBB3 Forum, we will gladly import your data (posts, users, avatars, attachments, etc.) into Forumatic. Each plan specifies the maximum number of posts that may be imported, while all other data is unrestricted. If you would like to move to Forumatic from a software other than phpBB3 contact us for pricing.
Data Portability & Plan Flexibility
Unlike other providers, we will never hold your data hostage or charge for a copy of your content should you choose to move to another provider.
We do not sell long term contracts. You can change your Forumatic plan at any time and you may cancel your plan at any time.
Resource Limitations
We do not place strict resource limitations on forums and will never disable your community without contacting you first.
Our plans are based on the monthly pageviews. When logged into Forumatic you can see how many pages your visitors have viewed within the current billing period. You will be asked to upgrade plans. Your forum will not be shut down immediately if you go over the limit but you will be asked to upgrade plans.
