I normally am a huge fan of the shared economy. Although I have lost
... some faith in a ride-sharing service. On Saturday evening my car keys were left in an Uber that was shared with a friend. Generally the customer service for this ride-sharing service is top notch and I have praised them for their responsiveness in resolving issues. In this instance though Uber has utterly failed on all fronts.
I emailed them on Sunday morning to inform them of the issue and gave them all the details. Informed them that my account was not used to call the Uber and gave them the email address of the individual whose account was used. The response that I received back was the standard canned email that I should log in to my account and contact the driver. This tells me that they did not even read the email. I have since emailed them two more times and received no correspondence whatsoever.
Does anyone know what the hours are for the Uber office in DC is? If i can not get anyone to email me back and I can not get the driver to respond to the requests then I will just have to go and talk to them in person.
Has anyone else faced a similar dilemma, if so, what was the steps to resolving the issue?
The person's account that was used has also contacted Uber and the driver and has not received any communication from them.
