The Very Fact there is no physical release of this series for us collectors is a huge thumbs down for me. I love the show...just hate the fact that its not being released traditionally on physical media.

A show that began its life as a Marvel-themed procedural -- complete with a "case of the week" formula and its own set of archetypical characters -- Agents of SHIELD has evolved into one of the most compelling superhero-based shows around.

Several characters that were once bland and cliched have gained depth and complexity, while the show's structure has abandoned the above format and begun to influence the Marvel Cinematic Universe in tangible ways, rather than simply acting as a complimentary piece.

Clark Gregg brings a believable edge and tangible darkness to the once bubbly Agent Phil Coulson in the wake of last season's revelations, while Brett Dalton has turned straight-laced secret agent Grant Ward into a wickedly complex character all his own.

Things are looking up for Agents of SHIELD, and viewers who (understandably) tuned out during season one should give this show another shot.

No physical release on dvd or bluray? Not everybody has unlimited data to watch shows online. I love the series but they just lost me as a viewer. I was hoping to get season 3 on dvd or bluray and watch season 4 until Flash came back- my local CW channel puts flash on opposite AoS.
When season 2 of AoS came out it was thru here only and really expensive so I waited for the price to drop a lot to buy it. It was worth the wait. But as it was months before the price dropped I didn't start watching season 3.
So season 2 is where it ends for me. I suppose they are gonna do the same for season 2 of Agent Carter.
And the one star I gave is not towards Amazon this time, it's towards ABC and Marvel for not releasing the show on a physical format that I could add to me collection.

...and, by the end of the pilot episode, when Coulson blasts off in his flaming red 1962 Chevy Corvette convertible flying car, I realized Joss Whedon had just hooked me again!

Having finished three seasons, with the network promising a fourth, this fast-paced, tightly-scripted Marvel Cinematic Universe action-adventure series continues to entertain, with a talented cast developing their characters in interesting ways.

Clark Gregg has taken his lead role as Director Coulson and run with it- part G-Man, part Rogue Agent, part All-American Boy.

Ming-Na Wen, in addition to being the Cavalry and the bus driver, is one tough chiquita you don’t want to get on the bad side of. Cool, controlled - but explosively passionate and deadly, just under the surface.

Brett Dalton was a promising looking good guy at first, and then an even better evil-doing bad guy once he flipped. He has already been resurrected once, though, and he should stay dead this time for good. Time to find another villain.

Chloe Bennett has impressively grown as an actress in her role as Skye/Daisy. The season three finale had her struggling with, metaphorically speaking, life-threatening drug addiction issues. Very dramatic and heart-breaking stuff.

Iain de Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, and Nick Blood have done a great job upholding the trademark Joss Whedon British Connection tradition with their own high-quality performances. The Fitz-Simmons dynamic has been especially fun to watch.

Adrianne Palicki makes quite the impression with her tall Valkyrie good looks alone; but she’s more than just that - she is a good character actor as well. And - who knows - she and Nick may show up again somewhere in the MCU - either with their own spin-off, or back on Agents of Shield.

And I’ve come to appreciate Henry Simmons in his role as ‘Mack’ McKenzie, as he’s been brought into the team. His character radiates compassionate strength, forbearance, and the requisite toughness for a true-blue agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.

...and of course it is fun to watch for the segues where Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. overlaps with the Movies and other television shows in the Marvel Franchise.

Good Quality action-adventure entertainment! Highly recommended.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is an excellent series. I am a 68 year old grandmother who loved reading Marvel comics as a kid growing up. I just found this program about 2 weeks ago on Netflix and Amazon, and I have watched every episode from the 3 seasons. The characters have evolved and grown into an outstanding group of actors. I have a love/hate relationship with Grant Ward, and while I want him dead, I still want to see what else he brings to the show. I you have not watched Agents of SHIELD you are missing a truly outstanding Si Fi Drama. I can't wait for the program to resume in March. For me, this is my new #1 show.
