One of the best live albums from the best live band on the planet.
I used to discredit Slipknot because I thought they were a big gimmick with their masks. But then I listened to the music. It's some of the most technically profound, heavy, brutal, and melodic music ever made.
And the band's story is as intense as their music.
I may be partial because I live in Des Moines, but I didn't live here until after they were already a world-wide act, and even then I wasn't a fan.
I actually met Corey Taylor at a local pub here one night and had no idea who he was. A friend quietly clued me in, and because the dude was so cool, I decided to give their music a try.
I'm so glad I met him then, before being a fan. I'd have lost my cool, for sure.
Anyhoo, here's some recommended listening for you, be you an old fan or someone new to the Knot.
Give this album a listen. Despite sounding cliche, it will change your life.
