The problem isn’t that Trump wants to talk to America’s adversaries. We want leaders who would rather talk than shoot. But what Trump says is treasonous. It’s consistently isolationist & racist. It’s not that he’s talking, but what he’s saying.

Trump’s White House claims the War on Poverty is “largely over.” This is a lie of the 1st order. Just ask the 140 million Americans who are poor or low income—the 37 mil w/out health insurance or the quarter million who will die of low wealth this year.

To see Trump’s enablers in House claiming bias in the investigation against him is the height of hypocrisy. When report after report demonstrated prosecutorial bias vs poor black & brown people, Republicans said nothing. But for a rich white man, the system is biased?

What we are seeing everyday is not normal politics. You have to go all the way back to the Redemption movement that overturned Reconstruction to find the kind of subversion of democracy we see in America today.
