Hamas is playing a cynical game. Attack Israel, escalate the situation to point of almost no return, then declare a ceasefire and say peace depends on Israel. A very clever, deeply amoral strategy to terrorise a country.
Don‘t buy Hamas propaganda and peace might stand a chance.
