More than a social platform

For Steve, his love of programming was instantaneous––and everlasting. A native of Northern Virginia, programming has been the only consistent hobby he has had his entire life (though he did log some time as a competitive ballroom dancer). Steve turned his passion turned into a career as a cofounder of reddit and the founder of Hipmunk. In this role, Steve has had the opportunity to do what he loves while also creating companies that have changed the way people use the internet––and book their travel. Since changing the world via reddit’s ever-growing community, Steve has developed a new love and life goal: to work for, or be on The Bachelor. His girlfriend approves.

Alexis was born in Brooklyn, NY but grew up in the suburbs of Baltimore, MD where he slowly realized his desire to play professional football would potentially not pan out. So, after graduating from UVA, he turned his efforts towards making the internet a better place. In addition to cofounding Reddit, he's a bestselling author, and activist for the open internet. While he is still patiently awaiting the news of his starting position in the NFL, he currently spends his free time investing in startups, passionately cheering on the Washington Redskins, and facetiming his cat, Karma. His mother always told him he was special.
