National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Phase II would be conducted at the examination centres across the country on July 24, 2016 and it would be the second and last phase of the medical entrance examination this year. The first phase of the examination was conducted on May 1, 2016 through the AIPMT examination carried by the CBSE through various examination centres across the country. According to Supreme Court order, those candidates who have appeared in the Phase I of NEET would also be able to sit for the phase II. It is expected that there would be a huge number of aspiring medical students who would apply for the phase II of the examination. The candidates, before registering themselves for the phase II, must ensure that they have clear idea of the paper pattern and language of the examination so that they could have a better preparation. The NEET Phase II examination would have one objective type question paper consisting 180 MCQs. The paper would carry questions related to Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology). The candidates would be allowed to use 3 hours’ time, in order to solve all the questions in the paper. The questions from each of the subjects would be important and thus the candidates must focus on each of the subjects to score good in the examination. The candidates would need to use their ball pens to select the right option of the questions in the specially designed machine-gradable sheet provided at the centres. The candidates would be able to select their question papers either in English or Hindi. The candidates would have to fill their preferred language choice in the application form, while they would register themselves for the Phase II of the NEET. The choices once made during the registration process regarding the language could not be changed later. Those candidates, who have opted for Hindi language, would be given a bilingual test booklet at the examination centres. While those who have selected English as their preferred language would be provide only English Test Booklet. The questions might get a little ambiguous through the translations to some candidates. In such a case the English version of the question should be referred and would be taken as final.
