Pourquoi un portail des langues nationales de Tunisie ? Très simplement, il s'agit d'instaurer un équilibre entre la réalité sur le terrain et le choix linguistique de la Constitution tunisienne de 2014. Cette Constitution dit que la langue officielle du pays est l'arabe, c'est-à-dire la langue dans laquelle a été rédigée la Constitution, autrement dit l'arabe moyen-oriental. Le terrain nous montre que la population n'utilise guère la langue officielle dans ses relations quotidiennes, mais bien d'autres langues que nous qualifions de nationales pour les différencier de la langue officielle constitutionnelle.
Quelles sont ces langues nationales ? Il s'agit des langues utilisées par les différentes composantes de la population tunisienne, à savoir le tounsi, le tamazight, l'hébreu et le français, sachant que le pays fait partie aussi de la francophonie. S'il y a d'autres langues, nous sommes prêts à compléter cette liste.
Donc, c'est un site linguistique qui vise à promouvoir les langues nationales. Pour le tamazight, il s'agit de revitaliser une langue en péril de disparition. Pour le tounsi, nous voudrions contribuer à la formulation des règles déjà existantes de cette langue. Pour l'hébreu, une langue par ailleurs bien développée, il est question de montrer qu'il est nécessaire de prendre en considération toutes les composantes de la population tunisienne à tous les niveaux, y compris celui de l'aménagement linguistique. Concernant le français, là aussi, il est nécessaire de montrer que l'adhésion du pays à la sphère francophone n'est pas superficielle, mais bien un engagement culturel et civilisationnel.

Why a portal of the national languages of Tunisia? Briefly, it aims to establish a balance between the reality on the ground and the linguistic choices of the Tunisian Constitution 2014. This Constitution has established Arabic as the country's official language, that is to say, the language in which was written the Constitution, in other words the mid-eastern Arab language. Actually, Tunisians do not use the official language in their daily activities. Instead, they speak other languages, we qualify as national to differentiate them from the official language of the Constitution.
What are national languages in Tunisia? These are the languages used by the various components of the Tunisian population, namely Tounsi, Tamazight, Hebrew and French, as the country is also part of the Francophonie organization. If there are other languages, we are ready to complete this list.

For the Tounsi, we would like to contribute to the formulation of the already existing rules of this language.
